Yes, it works similar to Zapier but WhizardAPI’s Connector is more focused towards the business communication automations where Zapier approach is generic. WhizardAPI’s do have a native integration to Zapier so that you can club the Connector & Zapier together to create more powerful automations.
What are the Advantages of Connector over Zapier?
The major advantages of using WhizardAPI’s Connector is to save cost , for an example if a restaurant gets 3000 orders in a month in their Woocommerce / Shopify site / Google Form and want to send 4 messages for each order i.e Order Received, Order On the Way, Order Delivered, Order Feedback so here if you use Zapier total 3000 x 4 i.e 12,000 tasks and which costs you $189 per month as per the Zapier Pricing page.

No, at this moment we don’t support polling a 3rd party API’s in regular intervals, you need to make use of Zapier or Pipedream then from there can invoke the WhizardAPI’s Connector URL, We are considering a Scheduler in future

My software doesn’t have a Webhook but has an API, how to integrate with Connector?
Connector works with Webhooks i.e when an event happens in another platform this can be triggered to Connector
I have already integrated the WhizardAPI’s Webhook & Push API and how Connector is different from this?
WhizardAPI’s Webhook & API can be used only to send and receive messages, currently we don’t have any API’s for integrating with other products like Smart Replies, Teambox, Drip Campaign etc so Connector will be the best option to integrate with WhizardAPI’s family of products like you can add a contact into WhizardAPI’s when a new contact is created in your platform and add the contacts into a Drip Campaign after X hours, days, minute etc.
Do you bill extra for using connector?
No, at this moment we don’t bill any extra for using connector however depends on your plan there will be a limit in the number of incoming connections it can receive in a day/month known as rate limits
